michaelTrial Presentation Manager

Michael joined The Focal Point in 2008 with ten years of experience in litigation support. After a four-year stint in Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison’s innovative Practice Support Group, Michael became a freelance trial technician in 2002. He has been in charge of organizing and presenting evidence at dozens of trials, arbitrations, Markman Hearings, and mock trials. He has worked on almost every type of civil case, in venues from California to Delaware. Ask him what he likes about his job and he’ll say, without hesitation, the people he meets and the places he visits.

Michael grew up in Topeka, Kansas, but has lived in or visited every other region of the country. Now happily settled in San Francisco, he still takes the occasional jaunt out of town, to places like Japan, Thailand, and Iceland, where he was married. He has a BA in Political Science and American History from The Evergreen State University. When he is not in court, Michael likes to play basketball, read, take photographs, and hit the town dressed in fantastic plaid blazers.

“Always treat people as ends in themselves, never as means to an end.”
