Stephen is a trial consultant adept at developing striking, persuasive imagery from his clients’ case themes. Using his legal chops and creativity, Stephen handily breaks down complex arguments into concepts and analogies that linger with jurors. His familiarity with litigation also enables him to anticipate his clients’ needs and work collaboratively with trial attorneys to deliver successful verdicts in court.
Before joining The Focal Point in 2015, Stephen spent seven years providing paralegal, trial support, and presentation production services to some of the nation’s top litigators.
He has worked on cases tried and appealed at the state and federal levels. He has experience in diverse practice areas that include product liability, premises liability, professional liability, insurance and reinsurance, medical malpractice, construction defect, toxic torts, railroad, environmental actions, employment and labor, and class action.
Outside work, Stephen abates the occasional occupational stressors with healthy doses of regular pick-up basketball, soccer, and open-water swimming. He is also an avid drummer and has been involved in many bands and musical projects over the years.
Stephen is a graduate of American University’s School of International Service in Washington, DC, majoring in International Studies with a focus on development in the emerging economies of Eastern Europe. He currently lives on the island of Alameda with his wife and their two adorable daug
